California Privacy Statement and Notice at Collection

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) requires us to provide some additional info to California residents, which we explain below. This page supplements our Privacy Policy.

The tables and descriptions that follow explain the info in our Privacy Policy using categories and definitions required by the CCPA.

We have collected this information from you, your devices, our partners, advertisers, and other third parties.

We do not collect or process sensitive personal information about you for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you.

We keep your information only so long as we need it to provide the Iris services to you and fulfill the purposes described here and in our Privacy Policy. When we no longer need to use your information and there is no need for us to keep it to comply with our legal or regulatory obligations, we’ll either remove it from our systems or depersonalize it so that we can't identify you.

To show you advertisements about Iris on other sites and apps, we sometimes allow third parties to collect information about you through cookies and similar technologies or disclose information to them for the purpose of promoting Iris. Under California law, these activities may constitute “sharing” or “selling”. In the preceding 12 months, such activities involved collecting the following categories of personal information and sharing them with the following categories of third parties:

Your rights under the CCPA

  • Right to Know and Access.

    You may submit a verifiable request to learn more about our information practices and for the specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected about you.

  • Right to Correct.

    You can correct inaccurate information by updating your profile information in your account.

  • Right to Delete.

    You may submit a verifiable request that we delete Personal Information we have collected from you.

  • Right to Opt-out of Sales/Sharing:

    You have the right to opt out of “sharing” or “sales” of your information, which you can do by following the instructions for California Users in the “Privacy and Data” section of your settings menu. If you have an account with us and you visit our site with an opt-out preference signal (such as Global Privacy Control) enabled, we will treat this as an opt-out request.

  • Right to Equal Service.

    We will not discriminate against you if you exercise your privacy rights.

In order to verify your identity when you make a request, you will be required to log in to your password-protected account or respond to an email verification request.

In addition to exercising these rights yourself, you may also designate an authorized agent to make these requests on your behalf. If the authorized agent does not provide a valid power of attorney, we will ask you to verify the request directly via email or through your password-protected account.

Metrics Disclosures

The CCPA requires us to disclose certain metrics about the various requests we get, such as how many specific requests we received from California residents in the last calendar year. See our CCPA Metrics Disclosure below.
