Meet Ruby, a standout beauty creator on Iris. Ruby's goal as a creator is to encourage others to be the best versions of themselves. We had the pleasure of interviewing her to learn more about her journey in beauty. "Beauty to me is being able to express yourself 100% without doubts, without fear of judgement, and living in your truth. That to me is beautiful, and what I consider beauty."

How would you describe yourself as a creator?

“I would describe myself as a creator who encourages others to be the best versions of themselves. Express yourself in your own art, however you want. To me as a creator, skincare is an art that I truly love. It inspired my name/handle because I’m not just what you see on the outside. No matter how you see beauty, it’s how you define in your own life that counts.”

What led you to join the beauty community?

“Like many, I wanted to find an outlet that would give back to me. Skincare gave me back the parts of myself that I had forgotten or hid. Being able to go through this journey, allowed me to find a sense of community. So many creators, expressing themselves through what they defined as beauty was so inspiring to me and still is. Besides the informative aspect, it truly helped my self esteem and I’m forever grateful to beauty community for that!”

What's your favorite thing about Iris?

“My favorite thing about Iris has to be creators showing their honest opinions. I don’t feel like it’s clouded by relationships with a brand etc. It’s raw experiences and I love how it highlights each individual’s experience with products.”

What does beauty mean to you?

What's your favorite thing about the Iris community?

“The iris community is so welcoming, and so willing to help. Their reviews, their thoughts, and how we interact just makes the experience 10 times better. My favorite part is that no one holds back on their reviews, and I love that! It truly shows authenticity within the reviews and within the community.”
