Creator of the Week: @leslovesbeauty

Meet Leslie from @leslovesbeauty, a standout beauty creator on Iris. Her goal as a creator is to take the guesswork and intimidation out of the beauty space. She shares her genuine experiences with products, so you feel more empowered when making beauty purchases.

How would you describe yourself as a creator?

“The beauty industry can be intimidating and finding products that work for you can be a journey - I am here to help with that journey and to share my genuine experience with the products I share.”

What led you to join the beauty community?

“When the world shut down in 2020, I left the beauty industry after 13 years. I wanted a place to keep my passion alive and to share everything I have learned over the years.”

What's your favorite thing about Iris?

“I love how detailed it is. When you find someone you really connect with on Iris and love their recommendations you get to hear why it works/doesn’t work for them vs just a picture of it or a swatch.”

What are your top three beauty products of the moment?

“Farmacy Green Clean - removes everything in just a simple step and leave my skin clean without being stripped, Kaplan MD Cellular Rejuvenating Concentrate - intense hydration without feeling heavy or sticky, Rhode Peptide Lip Treatments - I love how hydrating & glossy they are with super fun scents.”

What's something you want your followers to know about you?

“I’m a New Englander at heart, love cold weather, being by the water, a true Scorpio, think everyone’s world would be better with a dog & some John Mayer music in it and I love sharing all things beauty with everyone I meet.”

What's your favorite thing about the Iris community?

“There is such a mix people on there that you can definitely find someone you can relate to.”

What's your favorite beauty trend of the moment?

“Minimalist Beauty - the focus on skin with minimal makeup products to create a polished look.”

Do you have a game changing beauty tip that leveled up your makeup or skincare routine?

“Skin prep is the key to every makeup application and that doesn’t mean just a primer. Finding a serum and moisturizer that works for your skin type as a base will elevate how your makeup looks.”
