Creator of the Week: @mirandaface

Meet Miranda from @mirandaface, a standout beauty creator on Iris. Miranda is an honest, funny, and kind hearted creator who writes reviews like she is talking to a friend. She likes to keep things light and breezy and not take anything (including herself) too seriously.

How would you describe yourself as a creator?

“Someone honest, funny (I hope), and a person who writes reviews like they are talking to a friend. I like to keep things light and breezy and not take anything (including myself) too seriously.”

What led you to join the beauty community?

“I wanted a creative outlet to talk about my love of makeup and skincare and to connect with likeminded people.”

What's your favorite thing about Iris?

“The honesty and the community building! It's so nice to see a group of kind, honest people talk about real reviews and to have it in text form. It isn't about a photo or a video, it's just about the physical product.”

What are your top three beauty products of the moment?

“I'm loving the Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm Powder, the Rare Beauty Bronzer Stick, and the InnBeauty lip oils! I'm finally back at my full time job after 7 months off, I need quick and easy products that caN give me that 5 minute face (Remember Carmindy from What Not To Wear? She coined that term and was a makeup inspiration to me growing up!).”

What's something you want your followers to know about you?

“You can ask me anything! I love talking about beauty, coffee, music, tv, dogs, Vancouver, and diet coke.”

What's your favorite thing about the Iris community?

“Meeting new friends and reading reviews about products I've never tried before. I love adding things to my 'want to try' list so when I'm out shopping or there's a ~sephora sale~ I can refer back to it!”

What's your favorite beauty trend of the moment?

“It's getting to be holiday season so I love a sparkly nail and a red lip!”

Do you have a game changing beauty tip that leveled up your makeup or skincare routine?

“I love my base routine when I'm doing a full face. I start with a hydrating primer (like the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face base), then a light layer of the elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter. Then I dot my foundation (loving the Haus Labs foundation) on with a q-tip (weird i know but I find I get an even layer this way). Then I spray my whole face with a light setting spray (Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray is one of of faves) and blend first with a foundation brush, then with a beauty blender to ensure everything is smooth.”
