Iris had the pleasure of speaking with Melody of @melroseglow, a standout creator in the Iris Community. We love her drive to research ingredients in order to give you the most reliable skincare reviews. Her naturally infectious personality shines through her writing, and will only keep you coming back for more.

How would you describe yourself as a creator?

“I'm just a girl in the world that creates editorial and educational beauty content online as a creative outlet. Since skincare is my biggest passion, I love dedicating the time to properly test products and do deep dives researching ingredients. On my page, you'll find that In-depth reviews are usually my specialty!”

What led you to join the beauty community?

“My late grandmother was the one who sparked my love for all things beauty growing up. She would take me to the prestige skincare counters at the mall and would buy me makeup even when I wasn't allowed to wear it (she was the one who bought me the OG Urban Decay Naked Palette, to age myself lol). During the pandemic, my excoriation disorder and anxiety were at an all-time high and my skin was not doing well. As I decided to expand my collection of products and work on healing my skin, I found that I wanted to seek out community online and share my thoughts and experiences On Instagram. Hence, in March 2021, @melroseglow was born!”

What's your favorite thing about the Iris community?

“Everyone is utilizing this platform to share their authentic and unfiltered opinions about products, and I love to see it!”

What's your favorite thing about Iris?

“It's a review-based hub where I can type out concise, yet impactful, thoughts and experiences with products all presented in a more approachable and relaxed style compared to other platforms. I like that I can casually post reviews as soon as they’re top-of-mind instead of feeling the pressure to execute and produce a full creative concept (which can be tedious and take a lot of time on other applications).”
